Detrás de OIKOS se esconde Rafael Femiano, un proyecto de música experimental que comenzó en Madrid en 2007junto a David San Martin (ahora mismo no se encuentra en la banda) y que se caracteriza por guitarras procesadas, temás armónicos y cinematográficos. A través del sello norteamericano Utech Records se dieron a conocer al público con su primer disco ‘Ecotono’ (2011) y, pocos años después el sello norteamericano Land of Decay les edita en cassette ‘Solve et Coagvla’ (2013), en donde destacan temas como ‘Omniscience’ con guitarras de André Foisy (Locrian, Kwaidan).
VIGILIA es el debut de OIKOS con Knockturne, tres nuevos temas que abren el camino a una nueva visión de su música. Silencios y atmósferas más solemnes que adquieren mayor significado y se conjugan con nuevos elementos como guitarras acústicas, arreglos de cuerdas y grabaciones de campo. Un cassete único y con personalidad propia, en donde han colaborado los destacados Ann Deveria, y que confirma el cuidado trabajo de esta grabación.

In OIKOS you can find Rafael Femiano, he forms this project of experimental music that started in Madrid 2007 with David San Martín (nowadays he is not in the band). OIKOS is characterized by processed guitars, harmonious and cinematographic themes. They got noticed and then known by the American label Utech Records that released their first record ‘Ecotono’ (2011). A few years latter Land of Decay, another American label releases ‘Solve et Coagvla’ (2013) on tape. Here you can find the theme ‘Omniscience’ that features André Foisy (Locrian, Kwaidan) on guitar.
VIGILIA is OIKOS’s debut album with Knockturne; it features three new themes that are ground breaking within this new alignment. Silence and solemn atmospheres acquire bigger meaning and flow when combined with new elements like the acoustic guitars, string arrangements and field recordings. This is an unique tape with a mind of its own where Ann Deveria are also feature with their collaboration that ratifies the care and talent within the making of this recording.
